I've spent more than 20 years in the event industry, and I've learned one thing over and over again:
Event tech can do better.
I've worked inside the complexity of events from nearly every angle over the last 20+ years.
I've also spent years watching incredibly capable event professionals hold everything together with spreadsheets, disconnected systems, workarounds, institutional knowledge, and sheer determination.
The problem isn't planners.
Too often, it's the technology they're being asked to use.
Today, I'm a co-founder of SignalThread, where we're building event technology differently: with planners, around the way events actually work.
My role sits at the intersection of product, operations, strategy, and the planner experience. I bring the perspective of someone who has actually lived the workflows we're trying to improve, and I spend a lot of time listening to the people who live them every day.
Because I don't believe the future of event technology should be built in a room and handed to planners with instructions for how to change the way they work.
It should be built with them.
Event tech can do better.
We're building the better.
