Monarchs in the Rough – A Hands-On Conservation Experience

Monarchs in the Rough is a hands-on conservation activity held within Rio Mar’s one-acre conservation area along the golf course river corridor. Participants help plant native milkweed to create and enhance habitat for monarch butterflies and other important pollinators while learning about the monarch life cycle, migration, and the importance of pollinator habitats in Puerto Rico.

This meaningful experience can provide groups with an opportunity to connect with nature, give back to the local environment, and incorporate sustainability and social responsibility into their Puerto Rico program.
