Amanda Cox is Vice President, Marriott BonvoyⓇ Convention & Resort Network Commercial Strategy. In this role, she leads the collective commercial strategy for more than 125 purpose-built convention and resort hotels across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Amanda is responsible for advancing the network's strategic vision, strengthening Marriott's leadership position within the global meetings and events industry, and driving initiatives that create greater value for meeting planners, event professionals, hotel owners, and customers. Working across Marriott's portfolio of premier convention and resort destinations, she helps shape strategies that accelerate group demand, enhance customer engagement, foster innovation, and anticipate the evolving needs of organizations and attendees in an increasingly dynamic events landscape.
With more than 20 years at Marriott International, Amanda has held progressive sales and marketing leadership roles across luxury resorts, convention hotels, and multi-property portfolios. Her career includes leading iconic destinations such as JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort and overseeing large-scale commercial organizations supporting some of Marriott's most significant group and event-focused properties. Known for her strategic mindset, collaborative leadership style, and deep understanding of convention, resort, and group business, Amanda is passionate about helping organizations create meaningful event experiences that drive business outcomes, strengthen connections, and deliver lasting value.
A servant leader at heart, Amanda is recognized for building high-performing teams, fostering strong owner and customer relationships, and driving transformational growth through innovation and collaboration. She holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and is a frequent speaker on commercial strategy, leadership, customer experience, and the future of meetings and events.
